Gavin Friday will perform tomorrow and Saturday in Porto and Lisbon, respectively.
In is debut in Portugal, the former Virgin Prunes singer will be playing his latest album, Ecce Homo, produced by Dave Ball of Soft Cell.
However, this week, we go back thirty years and revisit Angel, which was probably Gavin Friday’s most successful solo song, largely due to its inclusion in Baz Luhrmann’s film Romeo + Juliet.
Angel was one of the singles from his third solo album, Shag Tobacco, produced by Tim Simenon and released in 1995.

Na sua estreia em palcos nacionais, o ex-Virgin Prunes vem apresentar o seu mais recente álbum, “Ecce Homo”, produzido por Dave Ball, dos Soft Cell.
No entanto, esta semana, recuamos trinta anos e recuperamos “Angel”, aquele foi provavelmente o tema de maior sucesso a solo de Gavin Friday, muito por conta da sua inclusão no filme “Romeo + Juliet”, de Baz Luhrmann.
